Meet Our Counselors

Hello HomeLink Students,

I am the School Counselor for grades 9-12.  I have been serving HomeLink as a School Counselor since 2015.  I truly believe I have the best job ever!  I love meeting students at the door, knowing their names and even their passions.  You can find a weekly “Would you rather” question on my door… so stop by and visit with me (I even have treats to share!) and let’s get to know one another!  I’m here to help you build a schedule of classes that will peak your interests and help you graduate.  I also review your progress each month and help you find strategies to ensure you have a successful year.  Whether it’s academic, social/emotional, or post-high school planning that you need… I’m here for you and am happy to help in any way I can.

Thank you,

Penny Finch

Hello!

I am the School Counselor for grades K-8.  I started at HomeLink in 2022! Before I started as a School Counselor in 2018, I worked for 10 years in the mental health field. I am excited to be a part of the HomeLink family. Being the K-8 School Counselor, I will be mainly at the Lynx campus on Monday and Thursday with the middle school students and at the main campus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

My passion has always been working with students and helping them navigate their big feelings as they grow. I am open and willing to meet with students and parents regarding academic, home, and social issues. I can work with students and parents to help develop positive strategies within their academic journey.

Warm Regards,

Heather Gilliland
