Parents, please note that in order for your student-athlete to be eligible for all practices and competitions, the following must be completed prior to attending the 1st practice:
1. All student-athletes must be full time students (minimum of 2.5 credits), live within our boundaries (unless they have been formally accepted by the district to attend HHS), and be properly enrolled at HHS based upon academic status – Detailed info below:
o All 9th (students who start High School somewhere else before coming to HHS), 10th, 11th, and 12th grade transfer students must notify the Athletic Department and complete WIAA transfer paperwork prior to attending practice or competitions. Fill out and return WIAA Transfer Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.
o 8th graders transitioning into 9th grade who live outside the Richland School District boundaries and more specifically outside of the Hanford High School boundaries – Are eligible to participate in athletics at Hanford High School. However, before being approved to practice and compete at Hanford High School, the student must first be accepted by the district and properly enrolled.
o All Three Rivers HomeLink students (home school) – Must live within the HHS boundaries and enroll annually as a “sports only” HHS student in order to compete in sports at HHS - Please contact Julie Erichsen (Julie.Erichsen@rsd.edu - HHS Registrar) for more information. o All River's Edge High School students – Must live within the HHS boundaries and enroll as a “sports only” student in order to be eligible to compete at HHS - Please contact Julie Erichsen (Julie.Erichsen@rsd.edu - HHS Registrar) for more information. o All Full-Time Pacific Crest Online Academy (PCOA) students – Must live within the HHS boundaries and enroll as a “sports only” student in order to be eligible to compete at HHS - Please contact Julie Erichsen (Julie.Erichsen@rsd.edu - HHS Registrar) for more information. Fill out and return WIAA Alternative Learning Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.

o All Part-Time Pacific Crest Online Academy (PCOA) students – Must be dual enrolled at PCOA and HHS. Please contact Julie Erichsen (Julie.Erichsen@rsd.edu - HHS Registrar) for more information. Fill out and return WIAA Alternative Learning Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.
WIAA Alternative Learning Paperwork
o All Graduation Alliance students– Must live within the HHS boundaries, enroll as a “sports only” HHS student in order to be eligible to compete at HHS, and also MUST PASS .5 CREDITS EVERY 2 WEEKS AND SUBMIT AN UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT EVERY 2 WEEKS TO PROVE CREDITS ARE BEING EARNED - Please contact Julie Erichsen (Julie.Erichsen@rsd.edu - HHS Registrar) for more information.
o All Full-Time Running Start students – Must live within the HHS boundaries or formally accepted by the district in order for HHS to be your home school. Must also be enrolled through HHS while attending running start. Fill out and return WIAA Running Start Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.
o All Part-Time Running Start students – Must live within the HHS boundaries or formally accepted by the district in order for HHS to be your home school and take classes at HHS. Fill out and return WIAA Running Start Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.
o All Students attending a private school that does not offer a specific athletic program or athletics altogether – Must compete at their home-boundary school – no exceptions.
o All students participating in Tri-Tech – Must live within the HHS boundaries or formally accepted by the district in order for HHS to be your home school and take classes part time at HHS. Fill out and return WIAA Alternative Learning Paperwork (linked below) to HHS Athletic Department.

2. Complete FamilyID Registration: https://students.arbitersports.com/organizations/912.
3. Submit a hard copy sports physical (less than one year old) to the athletic secretary in the main office
4. ASB and Sports Fee – Please note all fees must be paid before being approved to practice or compete!
o ASB Fee = $30 (ASB is good and used for other things outside of athletics.
o Sports Fee = $55

Step 1: Register
Complete Family ID Online Registration.
(Note: All student-athletes must have health and accident insurance. If your family does not have medical insurance, you may purchase school-sponsored health insurance.)
Step 2: Sports Physical
Complete a sports physical through your family physician or a local doctor and turn it into the HHS office. Physicals are good for one school year.
Step 3: Pay Athletic Fees
$30 ASB and $55 Sports Fee is due before the first practice.
